Wave of Terror Attacks Hits Balochistan, Three Killed and Five Injured

QUETTA: A series of terrorist attacks and sabotage incidents in different districts of Balochistan have left at least three people dead and five others injured, while causing significant damage to public and private property.

According to officials, the incidents took place in Panjgur, Mastung, and Nushki, triggering fear and disruption across the province.

In Panjgur’s Gwargo Fatah Ali area, unidentified armed men opened indiscriminate fire on a vehicle, killing three people on the spot and injuring five others.

In another incident in Mastung’s Jadidabad area, unidentified attackers planted explosives under a bridge, damaging the structure. However, no casualties were reported in the blast.

Meanwhile, armed assailants attacked a Customs Enforcement checkpost at Makoi Dun, reportedly taking the staff hostage, setting two rooms on fire, and snatching an official vehicle.

On the Quetta-Taftan highway near the Kanak area of Mastung, armed men torched five trucks loaded with chromite minerals, causing heavy financial losses.

Separately, in the Mal area of Nushki, armed individuals blocked the national highway and began checking vehicles, creating panic among passengers and disrupting traffic flow on the important route.

Following the incidents, security forces and police launched large-scale search operations across the affected areas and tightened security on major highways. Authorities said efforts are underway to restore traffic and track down those responsible for the attacks.

Law enforcement agencies stated that strict action would be taken against the militants involved in the incidents to maintain peace and stability in the province.
