PkMAP Condemns Brutal Killing of Prominent Trader Haji Salahuddin Noorzai in Quetta

QUETTA: The Pashtunkhwa Milli Awami Party (PkMAP) has strongly condemned the killing of prominent trader Haji Salahuddin Noorzai by unidentified armed assailants in the Muslimabad area of Quetta, describing the incident as deeply tragic and alarming.

In a statement, the party said incidents of lawlessness, targeted killings, kidnappings and other crimes have been continuously increasing in Quetta and various parts of Balochistan, leaving citizens deeply concerned about the safety of their lives and property.

The party said the brutal killing of Haji Salahuddin Noorzai was yet another tragic example of the deteriorating law and order situation. It said the seriousness of the incident was further heightened by the fact that Noorzai’s son had also been kidnapped some time ago and remains missing.

“One family being subjected to two consecutive tragedies is extremely alarming,” the statement said, adding that the situation raises serious questions about the protection of citizens’ lives and property and the rule of law in the province.

PkMAP demanded that the government and law enforcement agencies immediately arrest those responsible for Haji Salahuddin Noorzai’s murder and bring them to justice. It also called for effective measures to ensure the safe recovery of his kidnapped son.

The party said the fundamental responsibility of the state and government was to protect citizens’ lives and property, maintain law and order and ensure the rule of law. It said the government and relevant institutions would be responsible if citizens remained unsafe even in their homes, businesses and on public roads.

PkMAP called for effective measures to curb the growing incidents of lawlessness, kidnapping, targeted killings and terrorism across Quetta and Balochistan and demanded that practical security be provided to the people.

The party also expressed heartfelt condolences and sympathy to the family, relatives and business community of Haji Salahuddin Noorzai, praying that Allah Almighty grants the deceased a high place in Jannat-ul-Firdous and gives the bereaved family patience and strength to bear the irreparable loss.
