Armed Men Torch Customs Enforcement Checkpost in Panjgur, Take Private Vehicle: Police

PANJGUR: Unidentified armed men set fire to a Customs Enforcement checkpost in Panjgur during the intervening night between Thursday and Friday, police said.

According to police officials, the armed assailants attacked the checkpost located at Sabzab Makodhan area, torched the facility, and took away a private vehicle parked at the site.

The checkpost belonged to the Pakistan Customs enforcement authorities.

Police added that further investigation into the incident is underway, while no casualties were reported so far. Security forces have cordoned off the area and started collecting evidence to trace the attackers.

Authorities have yet to determine the motive behind the attack, and search operations are expected to be launched in the surrounding areas.
