Pakistan to Consult Envoys in Key Countries Over Escalating Regional Tensions

ISLAMABAD: In view of rising regional tensions following the Iran conflict involving the United States and Israel, the government of Pakistan has decided to hold consultations with its ambassadors posted in key countries.
According to official sources, a mini conference of Pakistani envoys will be held in Islamabad over the next two days. Ambassadors from important Middle Eastern and allied countries have been summoned to participate in the meeting.
Diplomats posted in the United States, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Qatar, Oman, and Jordan are expected to attend the high-level consultation.
Sources said the conference will review the evolving regional situation and its potential implications for Pakistan’s national interests. Recommendations emerging from the meeting will be presented to the government for further policy consideration.
The discussions will also focus on Pakistan’s possible diplomatic and mediation role in the region, and the future course of action in light of ongoing geopolitical developments.
