Flight Operations Disrupted Across Pakistan as Weather and Middle East Situation Cause Cancellations

Lahore: Flight operations across Pakistan were significantly disrupted due to adverse weather conditions and the evolving situation in the Middle East, leading to widespread cancellations and delays.
According to airport sources, a total of 30 flights to Gulf countries were cancelled from airports nationwide, including Allama Iqbal International Airport.
From Lahore alone, eight flights scheduled for Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Bahrain, Kuwait, and Qatar were cancelled. In addition, Jinnah International Airport saw 12 Gulf-bound flights grounded.
At Islamabad International Airport, six international flights were cancelled, while two flights each were affected at Sialkot and Multan airports.
Apart from international disruptions, domestic flight operations were also heavily impacted. Around 20 domestic flights were delayed or cancelled due to worsening weather conditions during the night.
Flights between Lahore and Karachi were among the most affected, with six services disrupted. Similarly, eight flights operating between Karachi, Lahore, and Islamabad were also delayed. Additionally, six flights from Multan, Faisalabad, and Peshawar experienced operational disturbances.
Airport officials stated that efforts were underway to normalize flight schedules as weather conditions improve and operational challenges ease.
