Pakistan’s Interior Ministry Rejects Claims of Targeted Deportation of Pakistanis from UAE

Islamabad: Pakistan’s Ministry of Interior has strongly denied reports suggesting that Pakistani nationals are being subjected to targeted deportations from the United Arab Emirates, terming such claims misleading and part of a false social media narrative.
According to an official statement, the ministry said it has taken notice of reports circulating in various media outlets, especially on social media, claiming that Pakistani citizens are being selectively expelled from the UAE. It clarified that these reports are baseless, misleading, and constitute negative propaganda.
The ministry emphasized that there is no policy of targeted deportation of Pakistanis or any specific nationality from the UAE or any other country. It added that any deportations that do occur are routine administrative actions taken under host country laws, including visa expiration, violation of immigration rules, or possession of invalid documentation.
Officials further stated that Pakistani citizens continue to travel to the UAE and other friendly countries for employment and are regularly obtaining work visas without discrimination.
The Interior Ministry urged the public to avoid spreading unverified information, stating that such fabricated news is intended to create confusion and mislead people.
It also clarified that any issues involving Pakistani nationals abroad are handled through diplomatic channels on a case-by-case basis with the relevant authorities.
