DG ISPR Says Major Surprise for Nation on August 14, Grand Parade Planned

Rawalpindi (Khabar Desk) — Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (DG ISPR) Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry has announced that a “major surprise” awaits the nation on August 14, stating that a grand parade will be held to mark the occasion.
Speaking at a press conference alongside Pakistan Air Force and Navy officials on the completion of one year of “Marka-e-Haq,” he said the armed forces will once again display a “small glimpse of their strength” before the public. “The purpose is to ensure no one can later claim they were not informed,” he added.
He said that with the grace of Allah, the armed forces have lived up to the expectations of the nation. According to him, under the vision of Pakistan’s political and military leadership, the armed forces defeated a much larger adversary and exposed its arrogance.
Lt Gen Chaudhry stated that India had worked hard to project Pakistan as being involved in terrorism, but claimed that after its defeat in “Marka-e-Haq,” such narratives had collapsed globally. He added that India’s “terrorism narrative has been permanently buried.”
He further said that Pakistan had previously raised questions regarding the Pahalgam incident, which remain unanswered. “India has still not presented any evidence regarding alleged terrorist camps or those responsible for the incident,” he said.
Commenting on regional dynamics, the DG ISPR said India’s military professionalism had been “dragged into politics,” adding that Indian political leaders were increasingly using aggressive rhetoric. “If you want to speak this language, then come forward,” he said.
He emphasized that Pakistan’s armed forces and people stand united, describing them as a “steel wall.” He also claimed that Pakistan maintained regional peace responsibly during conflict situations.
Lt Gen Chaudhry concluded that in today’s information age, only truth can prevail, urging responsible communication and rejecting misinformation.
