Electricity Bills to Display Monthly Subsidy Details, Says Power Division

Islamabad: The Power Division has announced that electricity consumers will soon be informed about the exact amount of subsidy provided in their monthly electricity bills.
According to a spokesperson for the Power Division, a QR code will be included on electricity bills, which consumers can scan to access a registration link. The registration process aims to ensure that households using lower electricity consumption continue to receive financial relief.
The spokesperson clarified that this initiative does not indicate any withdrawal of subsidies. The government remains committed to prioritizing relief for low-income and middle-class consumers.
He further stated that the purpose of the system is to ensure the fair and efficient use of public resources.
Consumers have been urged to complete registration through the QR code provided on their electricity bills to benefit from the subsidy tracking system.
