Multiple Violent Incidents Across Balochistan Leave 7 Dead, Several Injured

Quetta / Pasni / Khuzdar / Dera Murad Jamali / Barkhan / Manjhi Pur: A series of violent incidents including shootings, explosions, road accidents, arson, aerial firing, and an attack on a police checkpoint have left at least seven people dead and several others, including a police officer, a woman, and a child, injured across various parts of Balochistan.
The incidents triggered panic and fear in multiple districts, prompting police and relevant agencies to launch separate investigations.
In Pasni, two bodies were recovered, both reportedly killed by gunfire at close range. Police and law enforcement agencies cordoned off the area, collected evidence, and shifted the bodies for post-mortem. Officials suspect the killings may be targeted in nature as multiple bullet wounds were found on the victims.
In Khuzdar’s Nall area, a beheaded body identified as Abdul Khaliq, son of Muhammad Hussain, was recovered. Police said the body was several days old and has been sent for medical examination while further investigation is underway.
In Barkhan’s Naharkot area, a man identified as Ali Muhammad was shot dead over allegations of “honor-related” issues. The attackers fled the scene after the incident.
In Dera Murad Jamali, armed men riding motorcycles attacked a police checkpoint at Beer Chowki, injuring ASI Muhammad Bakhsh Jamali. The attackers managed to escape, while police have launched search operations.
A minor blast was reported near a roadside area in Jaffarabad, where a cracker explosion damaged the road but caused no casualties. Police confirmed that a tribal leader had passed through the area shortly before the blast, and investigations are ongoing.
In a road accident near Machh on the national highway, a motorcyclist identified as Sadiq Ali died on the spot after colliding with a speeding vehicle.
In another incident near Dera Murad Jamali, a young man attempted suicide and was shifted to hospital in critical condition before being referred to Larkana for further treatment.
Meanwhile, in separate incidents of aerial firing during a wedding ceremony in Notal area, a five-year-old child, a woman, and a man were injured.
Severe fires in Nasirabad and Sohbatpur districts resulted in the death of a child, while six houses were destroyed along with livestock, cash, and household goods. In Manjhi Pur, another house fire killed a three-year-old child, leaving several families homeless and stranded.
Residents have demanded improved law and order, stronger action against criminal elements, emergency relief for victims, and increased police patrolling in sensitive areas.
Authorities said investigations into all incidents are ongoing and efforts are underway to arrest those involved and bring them to justice.
