Power Consumers Get Major Relief as K-Electric Suspends Load Shedding Amid Heatwave

Karachi: K-Electric has announced major relief for power consumers in the city by suspending maintenance shutdowns during the ongoing heatwave.
According to media reports, Head of Distribution Operations, Khurram Abdullah, stated that the decision was taken in response to extreme weather conditions affecting the city.
He further said that if temperatures in any area reach 45°C, economic load shedding will not be carried out in those المناطق, providing significant relief to residents struggling with the intense heat.
However, he cautioned that overloading of the power system can lead to grid faults and technical issues. Field teams are actively working to address such مشکلات and ensure uninterrupted power supply.
He also urged citizens to cooperate with authorities during this period, advising them to stay indoors, wear light clothing, and increase water intake to stay safe during the heatwave.
