Karachi: Youth Released on Bail After Misconduct With Police During Snap Checking

KARACHI: A young man accused of misbehaving with police officials during snap checking in Defence Phase 7 has been released on personal bail, police said.
According to authorities, the suspect will be required to appear before the court for further legal proceedings.
The incident occurred a day earlier when police stopped a vehicle during routine snap checking in the Defence area. The suspect, reportedly the son of a female police officer, allegedly grabbed a police official by the collar.
Police stated that the vehicle was fitted with a fake number plate, and upon being stopped, the suspect used abusive language and, along with his guards, allegedly assaulted the police officer.
Following the incident, the DIG South took notice and appointed the SP Clifton as the inquiry officer to investigate the matter.
