Turkish-Origin Woman Who Served in Israeli Military Reportedly Deported to Israel After Detention in Turkey

Istanbul: A Turkish-origin woman identified as Jessica Bachar, who reportedly served in the Israeli military, has been deported to Israel following her detention in Turkey, according to media reports.
Reports state that Bachar moved to Israel around five years ago and recently traveled to Istanbul in February to visit her family, where she was taken into custody by Turkish police.
She was allegedly detained over her past service in the Israeli military, amid claims that pro-Palestinian groups in Turkey were also targeting individuals who had served in Israeli forces.
Israeli media further reported that, after learning about her detention, Israeli authorities engaged in intense diplomatic efforts, including alleged pressure through foreign channels. Following this, Bachar was reportedly released and transferred to Israel through a discreet operation.
The case has drawn attention in both Turkish and Israeli media, highlighting ongoing sensitivities surrounding the Israel-Palestine conflict and dual-national military service issues.
