Sindh Extends Section 144 Restrictions for Another Month

The Government of Sindh has extended the enforcement of Section 144 for an additional month, according to an official notification issued by the Sindh Home Department.
Under the restrictions, protests, sit-ins, rallies, and public gatherings will remain banned across the province. The display of weapons has also been prohibited, while wall chalking has been strictly restricted.
However, security guards will be allowed to carry weapons during duty hours.
Authorities have warned that strict action will be taken against violators, with cases to be registered accordingly. Station House Officers (SHOs) have been granted powers to take legal action under Section 188 for any breaches of the imposed restrictions.
