Six Injured in Tribal Clash Over Marriage Dispute in Jhal Magsi, Three in Critical Condition

Jhal Magsi – At least six people were injured, three of them critically, in a violent clash between two groups of the Khaskheli tribe over a marriage dispute in the Kotra area of Gandawah tehsil in Jhal Magsi district.
According to sources, the incident erupted after a heated argument between the two groups over a matrimonial matter, which quickly escalated into a physical confrontation. Both sides used sticks and stones freely, causing panic in the area and forcing residents to remain indoors.
Eyewitnesses reported that the clash continued for a considerable time, during which several individuals sustained serious injuries. Immediate medical assistance was required for the wounded.
Upon receiving information, Station House Officer Pasand Khan Lashari reached the scene along with a heavy contingent of police and managed to bring the situation under control. The injured were shifted to the Tehsil Headquarters Hospital Gandawah, where they are receiving medical treatment.
Hospital sources confirmed that three of the injured are in critical condition and are under close observation.
Police officials stated that identification of those involved in the clash has begun, and legal action will be taken against the responsible individuals. Additional police personnel have been deployed in the area to prevent any further unrest.
Local elders expressed deep concern over the incident and urged both parties to exercise restraint and resolve disputes through mutual understanding. They emphasized that such conflicts not only endanger human lives but also disturb peace and order in the region.
Authorities said the situation is now under control, while investigations are ongoing to determine the exact cause and identify those responsible for the violence.
