Ahsan Iqbal Says PTI Uncomfortable With Pakistan’s Rising Global Image

NAROWAL: Federal Minister for Planning Ahsan Iqbal has said that Pakistan is increasingly being recognized on the global stage, adding that some political rivals, including Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), are uncomfortable with this development.
Speaking at a ceremony, the minister said that Pakistan is actively working to contribute toward global peace efforts and is playing a role in attempts to help resolve ongoing international conflicts, including tensions between the United States and Iran. He added that the outcome of such conflicts is linked to the future of the entire world.
Ahsan Iqbal stated that Pakistan is “representing the cause of the world’s poor” and highlighted that the country is receiving appreciation from several major global powers, including the United States, China, France, and the United Kingdom.
He further remarked that both India and PTI were uneasy about Pakistan’s growing international respect. “They are disturbed by why Pakistan’s flag is being raised globally and why the country is receiving honor on the world stage,” he said.
The minister also acknowledged that due to prevailing global conditions, the government has been compelled to increase petroleum product prices.
