Rising Fuel Prices and Iran Tensions Weigh on Trump’s Approval Ratings, Survey Shows

WASHINGTON: Rising petrol prices and escalating tensions involving Iran have contributed to a decline in public approval of former US President Donald Trump, according to a recent survey.
The Associated Press poll indicates a growing lack of confidence in Trump’s economic policies, with the share of Americans expressing distrust rising by 9 percent to 70 percent.
The survey further shows that Trump’s overall approval rating has dropped from 36 percent to 33 percent, while 67 percent of respondents said they were dissatisfied with his performance.
Political analysts suggest that the decline in popularity is largely driven by concerns over domestic economic pressures and what they describe as insufficient focus on internal issues amid global tensions, including the situation related to Iran.
Experts say the combination of rising fuel costs and international uncertainty has added to public dissatisfaction, impacting perceptions of leadership effectiveness.
