Amanullah Kanrani Criticizes Balochistan Bar Council Vice Chairman’s Remarks, Calls Them “Like Parrot’s Language”

Quetta (Kudrat Daily) – Former President of the Supreme Court Bar Association of Pakistan Amanullah Kanrani has strongly criticized the objections raised by Balochistan Bar Council Vice Chairman Jarrin Dashti regarding the Chief Justice of the Balochistan High Court, terming them “regrettable” and “like a parrot’s language.”
Kanrani stated that the case referenced in Dashti’s open letter was scheduled for hearing on the same day, with all parties present in court, yet the vice chairman, despite being a respondent, chose not to appear before the court and instead issued public statements.
He further said that if a professional lawyer avoids court proceedings and resorts to public criticism, it damages the credibility of the Balochistan Bar Council. He emphasized that the Bar Council is not merely an institution based on numerical majority but one bound by institutional responsibilities defined under the Legal Practitioners and Bar Councils Act, 1973 and the Bar Council Rules, 1976.
Kanrani added that any statements outside the legal framework cannot be considered the official stance of the Bar Council.
He also remarked that when ballot boxes are opened, the reality of alleged fake votes would come to light, suggesting transparency would expose the truth behind disputed claims.
The remarks have added to ongoing tensions within the legal fraternity in Balochistan.
