Exchange of Fire Between Police and Armed Robbers on Highway in Bakhtiarabad; Suspects Escape

BAKHTIARABAD: A heavy exchange of fire took place between police and armed robbers on a national highway in the jurisdiction of Bakhtiarabad police station in Balochistan, officials said.
According to police sources, the incident occurred when a patrolling police team encountered a group of armed suspects. Both sides opened fire, causing panic in the surrounding area.
Following the exchange, the suspects managed to escape under the cover of darkness, fleeing into nearby bushes and difficult terrain.
Soon after the incident, a heavy police contingent reached the scene, cordoned off the area, and set up checkpoints at various locations to apprehend the fleeing suspects.
Police officials stated that a search operation is underway and efforts have been intensified to track down the criminals, expressing hope of a breakthrough in the case soon.
