Final Resting Place of Hazrat Khadijah (RA) in Makkah Remembered with Reverence

Islamabad: The final resting place of Khadijah bint Khuwaylid (RA), the first wife of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and the first woman to embrace Islam, continues to be a site of deep spiritual significance for Muslims around the world.
Hazrat Khadijah (RA), also known as Umm al-Mu’minin, is buried in the historic cemetery of Jannat al-Mu’alla (Hajun) in Mecca. The قبرستان is located near Masjid al-Haram and is considered a place of reverence visited by many.
She passed away approximately three years before the Hijrah, around 619 CE, during what is known as the Year of Sorrow. Historical accounts state that Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) himself lowered her into her grave.
Jannat al-Mu’alla is also the burial site of several early and righteous figures of Islam, further adding to its historical and spiritual importance.
Hazrat Khadijah (RA) is remembered for her unwavering faith, generosity, and unmatched support for the Prophet (PBUH) during the earliest and most challenging days of Islam. Muslims continue to honor her legacy and pray for her elevated status.
