Etihad Rail Opens Ticket Bookings for Dubai-Abu Dhabi Passenger Service
DUBAI: Etihad Rail has officially opened ticket bookings for passenger services between Dubai and Abu Dhabi, offering UAE citizens and residents a new rail travel option from September 30, 2026.
According to Emirati media reports, passengers can now book seats through the official Etihad Rail website and mobile application from Dubai’s main station, officially named Al Yalayes Station.
The starting fare for a one-way journey from Dubai to Abu Dhabi has been set at AED 39. The first passenger train from Dubai to Abu Dhabi is scheduled to depart at 6:15 a.m. on September 30.
Al Yalayes Station in Dubai, along with Al Dhaid Station in Sharjah, is scheduled to open for public services on September 30, 2026.
The new Dubai station is located near Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road in Jumeirah Golf Estates, providing easier access to Etihad Rail services for residents of Al Furjan, Dubai Investment Park and Dubai South.
The launch of the passenger service is expected to provide thousands of daily commuters travelling between Dubai and Abu Dhabi with a comfortable, affordable and faster alternative to road travel.
