Government Unable to Provide Jobs to All, Says Governor, Stresses Role of Welfare Organizations in IT Training

Karachi: Jafar Khan Mandokhail has acknowledged that the government alone cannot provide employment to all citizens, stressing the need to rely on welfare organizations to equip youth with modern skills, particularly in the information technology sector.

He made these remarks during a visit to the Saylani Welfare Trust’s Zaitoon Ashraf IT Park in Karachi, where he inspected various educational and training facilities.

The governor praised the work being carried out by Saylani Welfare Trust, saying it is not just a charitable institution but a movement empowering youth across Pakistan economically. He said such initiatives are opening new gateways for employment and helping prepare young people for global competition.

Mandokhail noted that in the current era of unemployment and economic challenges, institutions that provide modern skills are truly shaping the future of the country’s youth. He added that such efforts will play a key role in improving Pakistan’s economy and increasing foreign exchange earnings.

He also expressed his commitment to establishing IT parks in remote areas of Balochistan in collaboration with welfare organizations, aiming to provide modern education and technical training to young people so they can become self-reliant.

“The government, whether federal or provincial, cannot provide jobs to every citizen,” he said, emphasizing that cooperation with visionary organizations can bridge the gap between the public and private sectors.

The governor also invited the Saylani Welfare Trust team to visit Quetta, stating that the provincial government looks forward to learning from their experience and working jointly for youth empowerment.

He said that such programs are helping youth from remote and underdeveloped areas become economically independent, enabling them to support their families and contribute to national development.
