Uncertainty Over Mahmood Khan Achakzai’s Participation in PTI Mardan Rally

Islamabad: A key political development has emerged regarding the planned rally of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) in Mardan, as senior politician Mahmood Khan Achakzai is unlikely to attend the event.

According to party sources, Achakzai is reportedly unhappy over not being taken into confidence regarding the rally. It is said that the date of the gathering was decided by the team of the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, which has led to concerns within certain party circles.

Sources indicate that Achakzai was not consulted in advance about the rally, an omission that has caused dissatisfaction and cast doubt over his participation. Reports further suggest that Atif Khan contacted Achakzai and invited him to attend, but he has yet to confirm his participation.

Party insiders believe this situation has raised questions about the rally’s significance and the political message it aims to convey. It is also being noted that the founder of PTI had reportedly entrusted Achakzai with authority over rallies and protest activities, making the lack of consultation a notable issue within the party.

Meanwhile, provincial minister Meena Khan stated that all matters would be finalized in consultation with Achakzai and emphasized that the rally arrangements were made in line with the directives of the PTI founder. She added that efforts are being made to ensure coordination and unity within the party leadership.
