China Rejects Reports of Supplying Weapons to Iran, Calls Allegations ‘Fabricated’

Islamabad (News Desk) — China has dismissed reports claiming it is supplying weapons to Iran, describing the allegations as completely unfounded and fabricated.
Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Guo Jiakun responded to the claims, stating that China maintains a cautious and responsible policy regarding military exports, strictly governed by domestic laws and international obligations.
“We firmly oppose baseless accusations and maliciously fabricated narratives,” Guo said during a press briefing.
The statement comes after a report by U.S. broadcaster CNN, which cited American intelligence sources as saying that Beijing was preparing to provide Iran with a new air defense system in the coming weeks.
Meanwhile, commenting on the reported U.S. blockade strategy, Guo criticized the move, calling any attempt to impose a blockade on Iranian ports “dangerous and irresponsible.”
The remarks highlight rising tensions and conflicting narratives among global powers amid ongoing geopolitical developments in the region.
