Trump Hints at “Big Announcement” on Iran as Tensions and Talks Continue

Washington: Former US President Donald Trump has said that there is “good news” regarding Iran and suggested that a “surprise” could be announced soon.

According to international news agencies, Trump stated that if no agreement is reached, US sanctions on Iranian ports would remain in place. He added, “Something is going to happen tomorrow, I think it will be very positive. There may be a surprise.”

He further said that a “very smart and good personality” will be visiting the White House, describing the individual as someone deeply concerned about both domestic and international affairs. Trump also announced that an “extraordinary press conference” will be held in the morning.

Meanwhile, developments continue around Iran’s regional policy. Iran recently announced that the Strait of Hormuz has been reopened for commercial shipping, though Iranian officials stressed that the move is conditional on maintaining a ceasefire agreement.

Iranian authorities also warned that any violation of the agreement could lead to the closure of the strategic waterway again, underscoring ongoing volatility in the region.
