Hillary Clinton Warns US Has Lost Diplomatic Leverage in Iran Tensions

Former US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has warned that the United States is now in an “extremely weak position” following rising tensions and unsuccessful negotiations with Iran.

Speaking in a television interview, Clinton said Washington has lost its diplomatic leverage and initiative in dealing with Tehran. She argued that the US should have been in a position to exert pressure on Iran, but the situation has now reversed.

Clinton also criticized the composition of the negotiating team, raising concerns over the involvement of Jared Kushner, son-in-law of President Donald Trump, and Middle East envoy Steve Witkoff.

According to Clinton, the current state of affairs reflects a loss of US leverage and leadership in the diplomatic arena, potentially weakening its ability to influence outcomes in negotiations with Iran.

Her remarks come amid ongoing uncertainty surrounding US-Iran talks, with global attention focused on whether diplomacy can still yield a breakthrough.
