Balochistan CM Sarfaraz Bugti Praises Opposition’s Responsible Conduct in Assembly

Quetta: Chief Minister of Balochistan, Mir Sarfaraz Bugti, has commended the opposition in the Balochistan Assembly for demonstrating patience, restraint, and a responsible attitude in parliamentary proceedings.
The chief minister expressed these views during a meeting with opposition members led by Mir Younis Aziz Zehri. The meeting focused on key issues including parliamentary affairs, the upcoming fiscal year’s budget, and development projects.
During the discussion, both the government and opposition agreed that priorities under the Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) for the next fiscal year should be aligned with public needs and ground realities to ensure that the benefits of development directly reach the people.
CM Bugti stated that both treasury and opposition members are elected representatives of the people, and all constructive and positive proposals presented in the public interest would be welcomed. He emphasized that the Balochistan Assembly represents a blend of parliamentary traditions and provincial values, where mutual respect, tolerance, and high moral standards are upheld.
Praising the opposition’s parliamentary role, Bugti said they have consistently shown patience and responsibility, which is commendable. He added that traditions of mutual respect and brotherhood distinguish the Balochistan Assembly from other legislative bodies.
The chief minister reiterated his commitment to including viable and approved development schemes in the PSDP to ensure balanced and sustainable development across the province.
On the occasion, Opposition Leader Zehri and other members appreciated the chief minister’s positive approach, respect for parliamentary traditions, and commitment to promoting constructive dialogue. They also acknowledged that CM Bugti respects the constitutional and parliamentary role of the opposition and accepts positive criticism with an open mind, which is essential for strengthening the democratic process.
