PkMAP Rejects Gas Load Shedding Schedule, Demands Continuous Supply Till Midnight
Quetta: The Pashtunkhwa Milli Awami Party (PkMAP) has strongly rejected the gas load shedding schedule and revised supply timings introduced by Sui Southern Gas Company, terming them unacceptable and illogical.
In a press release issued from the party’s provincial secretariat, PkMAP criticized the practice of supplying gas in limited intervals—morning, afternoon, and evening—likening it to administering medicine to patients. The party stated that such a system is impractical and adds to the hardships faced by the public.
The statement highlighted that gas supply is already suspended from 9:00 PM to 7:00 AM, and the imposition of additional restrictions is worsening the situation for residents. It further noted that if the situation in Quetta is this severe, conditions in other districts of the province can be easily imagined.
PkMAP demanded that authorities immediately end the unjust reduction in gas pressure and supply cuts in all areas of Quetta district, including Kuchlak, Sariab, City, and Saddar tehsils. The party called for uninterrupted gas supply to be ensured at least until midnight to provide relief to the public.
