No Notification Issued on Fuel Price Reduction, Clarifies Petroleum Division
Islamabad (Daily Qudrat): The Petroleum Division Pakistan has clarified that the government has not issued any notification regarding a reduction in petroleum product prices.
In an official statement, the division urged media outlets to avoid spreading unverified or fake news related to fuel prices. It emphasized that reports concerning petroleum prices should not be broadcast without proper confirmation, as such misinformation can mislead the public.
The clarification comes after ARY News reported that the government had announced a major reduction in fuel prices, claiming petrol would be reduced by PKR 78 and diesel by PKR 100 per liter.
However, authorities have dismissed the report as inaccurate, advising the public to rely only on official notifications for updates on petroleum pricing.
