Pakistan’s Diplomatic Role in US-Iran Ceasefire a Major Victory, Says Mir Ali Hassan Zehri

Hub: Mir Ali Hassan Zehri, a senior leader of the Pakistan Peoples Party, has termed Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts in securing the ceasefire between United States and Iran as a “remarkable victory,” crediting the country’s leadership for averting a major regional disaster.
In a statement issued from Hub, Zehri praised Pakistan’s role as a mediator, calling it a positive and commendable development. He said that Pakistan’s efforts not only helped achieve a ceasefire but also created hope for lasting peace in the region and beyond.
He emphasized that Pakistan has consistently advocated peace, stability, and dialogue, and its responsible diplomatic engagement in the current situation reflects its status as a serious and peace-loving state. He described the development as a significant diplomatic success that has enhanced Pakistan’s global standing.
Zehri also lauded the leadership of Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, stating that his strategic vision and timely efforts played a key role in bringing both sides to the negotiating table and facilitating the ceasefire. He said such leadership has been instrumental in promoting regional peace and safeguarding national interests.
He urged the international community, particularly the United Nations, to play a constructive role in ensuring lasting peace and stability in the region.
Highlighting the importance of unity among Muslim countries, Zehri said that collective efforts are essential to address regional challenges and ensure long-term peace. He added that the ceasefire has helped prevent large-scale loss of life and opened new opportunities for economic stability, trade growth, and public welfare.
