Author Atul Khatri expressed gratitude to Pakistan for mediating peace, stating, “I never thought I would tweet this for Pakistan.”
Pakistan has proven a capability to find much better leaders. Bangladesh and Sri Lanka do a much better job. Indians should self-reflect why they end up with leaders with the caliber of street goons.https://t.co/KPI6v2V31P

Writer and thinker Jayant Bhandari said Pakistan has demonstrated its ability to find capable leadership, while defense analyst Abhijit Iyer-Mitra congratulated both Shehbaz Sharif and Syed Asim Munir, noting that successful mediation requires both skill and the willingness to take risks—qualities Pakistan displayed effectively.
My personal congratulations to Shehbaz Sharif & Asim Munir for the ceasefire. Mediation requires skill, but also a high risk taking appetite. Pakistan pulled both off. Like I said, never underestimate Pakistan, despite their propensity to titillate.

Journalist Aadita Menon also commended the leadership for the 14-day ceasefire, saying Pakistan’s efforts have been acknowledged by both sides.
With both sides acknowledging Pakistan's efforts, PM Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Asim Munir deserve credit for the 14 day ceasefire. India too will benefit from this and should avoid seeing this as a zero sum game with Pak. Israel remains the main obstacle.
