Indian Voices Praise Pakistan’s Diplomacy in Iran-US Ceasefire

Islamabad: Several Indian commentators, analysts, and public figures have praised Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts in facilitating the recent ceasefire between Iran and the United States, calling it a positive step toward regional peace.

The development has been widely welcomed globally, with many acknowledging the role of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Army Chief Syed Asim Munir in advancing peace efforts. Social media platform X saw the hashtag #PakGlobalPeaceMaker trending, reflecting widespread appreciation.


Indian academic Ashok Swain shared a White House post and described the development as a victory for Iran and a moment of pride for Pakistan. He added that attempts to isolate Pakistan internationally appear to have backfired.

Defense analyst Pravin Sawhney praised Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, calling his role “remarkable.”


Author Atul Khatri expressed gratitude to Pakistan for mediating peace, stating, “I never thought I would tweet this for Pakistan.”


Writer and thinker Jayant Bhandari said Pakistan has demonstrated its ability to find capable leadership, while defense analyst Abhijit Iyer-Mitra congratulated both Shehbaz Sharif and Syed Asim Munir, noting that successful mediation requires both skill and the willingness to take risks—qualities Pakistan displayed effectively.


Journalist Aadita Menon also commended the leadership for the 14-day ceasefire, saying Pakistan’s efforts have been acknowledged by both sides.


Film critic KRK thanked Pakistan’s prime minister, stating that preventing a potential nuclear conflict was a service not only to the Gulf region but to the entire world, adding that such efforts would be remembered for a long time.
