Iranian Attacks on UAE Leave Two Pakistanis Injured in Sharjah Telecom Strike

Sharjah: Iranian drone and ballistic missile attacks on the United Arab Emirates (UAE) have continued, with a missile strike on a telecommunications company in Sharjah injuring two Pakistani nationals, according to the UAE Ministry of Defense.

The ministry stated that a ballistic missile hit the Thuraya Telecommunication Company building in the central region of Sharjah, causing minor injuries to two Pakistani employees, who were immediately transported to a hospital for medical care.

UAE defense officials confirmed that its air defense successfully intercepted one ballistic missile and 11 drones launched from Iran in the past 24 hours. So far, no further casualties were reported in this timeframe.

The ministry highlighted that, cumulatively, Iranian attacks have involved 520 ballistic missiles, 20 cruise missiles, and 2,221 drones. The attacks have resulted in 10 fatalities, including citizens from Pakistan, Nepal, Bangladesh, Palestine, India, and Egypt, with 221 people injured from countries including UAE, Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Ethiopia, the Philippines, Azerbaijan, Yemen, and several others.

The UAE Ministry of Defense reaffirmed that the country remains fully prepared to address any threats to its sovereignty, security, and stability, and will continue to defend its national interests and capabilities against aggression.
