Pakistan Army Condemns Attacks on Saudi Arabia, Warns of Rising Regional Tensions

Rawalpindi: The Corps Commanders Conference has strongly condemned the recent attacks on petrochemical and industrial complexes in Saudi Arabia, describing them as unnecessary provocations that escalate regional tensions and undermine genuine efforts to resolve Middle East conflicts.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the 274th Corps Commanders Conference was chaired by Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Chief of Defence Staff, and other senior military officials. The forum paid tribute to the sacrifices of armed forces personnel, law enforcement officials, and innocent citizens who laid down their lives defending the homeland.

The conference reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to neutralizing all terrorist proxy elements, their facilitators, and associates, emphasizing continued operations under Operation Ghazb lil Haq until terrorist safe havens are eliminated and cross-border threats are decisively countered.

The forum also lauded the government’s diplomatic efforts to end conflicts in the Middle East, emphasizing Pakistan’s dedication to sustained negotiations, de-escalation, and principled diplomacy. It described Pakistan as a responsible regional security stabilizer and underscored its active role in maintaining peace and stability.

The Corps Commanders condemned Iran’s attacks on Saudi Arabia, stating that such actions harm ongoing peaceful efforts and constructive diplomatic initiatives. They praised Saudi Arabia’s restraint and measured response despite provocations, noting that continued aggression undermines mediation and peaceful resolution efforts.

Additionally, the forum rejected misleading narratives attributed to India, including false accusations and staged operations, highlighting ongoing human rights violations and extrajudicial actions in Indian-administered Jammu and Kashmir.

Concluding the conference, the Army Chief directed commanders to maintain operational readiness, discipline, rigorous training, physical fitness, innovation, and high standards of battlefield professionalism, reaffirming full confidence in the armed forces’ ability to safeguard Pakistan’s sovereignty and regional stability.
