Balochistan High Court Declares Badini Border Terminal Appointment Advertisement Illegal

Quetta: The Balochistan High Court has declared the advertisement for the appointment of a Project Director for the Badini Border Terminal project illegal, citing violations of Planning Commission rules.
Chief Justice Justice Muhammad Kamran Khan Mulakhail annulled the advertisement issued on May 12, 2025, along with its corrigendum dated October 18, 2025. The court ordered that the appointment process be restarted in accordance with prescribed rules and regulations.
The court further directed authorities to constitute a transparent selection committee, emphasizing that all appointments must strictly follow the procedure defined by law. It observed that the advertisement had been issued in violation of Planning Commission rules.
Additionally, the court set aside the tender process related to the project and ordered that no further progress be made until the appointment of the Project Director is completed through a lawful process.
While approving the constitutional petition, the court declared the advertisement null and void and directed that copies of the judgment be sent to the Advocate General Balochistan and other relevant authorities.
