Balochistan Bar Council Announces Province-Wide Strike on April 6 Over Inflation, Fuel Price Hike
Quetta (Daily Qudrat) – The Balochistan Bar Council has announced a province-wide strike on April 6 in protest against rising inflation and the sharp increase in petroleum prices.
According to an official statement, the legal community will observe a complete boycott of court proceedings, with lawyers locking courts across Balochistan. The council expressed serious concern over the soaring cost of living, stating that the continuous rise in prices of essential commodities, particularly petrol and diesel, has created severe difficulties for the public and the legal fraternity.
The council urged the government to take immediate and effective measures to control inflation and provide relief to the people, adding that the surge in fuel prices has made daily life extremely difficult.
The secretary of the Bar Council has appealed to all lawyers to actively participate in the strike to strengthen the public’s voice against inflation.
