Transport Fares Surge Up to 65%, Hitting Commuters Hard

Lahore: Commuters are facing a heavy financial blow as transport fares across the country have increased by up to 65%. The revised fares between major cities are as follows:

Lahore to Karachi: PKR 12,000 (up from PKR 8,600)
Lahore to Islamabad: PKR 4,000 (up from PKR 3,000)
Lahore to Peshawar: PKR 4,600 (up from PKR 3,500)
Lahore to Sargodha: PKR 2,550 (up from PKR 1,550)
Lahore to Faisalabad: PKR 2,350 (up from PKR 1,350)

The sharp rise in fares is adding significant pressure on passengers’ budgets, sparking concern among daily commuters and long-distance travelers alike.
