Body of Kidnapped Karachi Youth Found, Police Close In on Kidnappers

The body of Mustafa Amir, a young man abducted from Karachi a month ago for ransom, has been found, and the police have made significant progress in apprehending the kidnappers.
DIG CIA, Muqaddas Haider, confirmed that one suspect has been arrested in connection with the abduction case of Mustafa Amir. He further explained that Mustafa went missing in January, prompting the South Police to initiate a search. During this period, Mustafa’s mother also received a ransom call.
Muqaddas Haider stated that the CIA and the Citizens-Police Liaison Committee (CPLC) started an investigation, leading to a raid in Karachi’s DHA area, where one suspect was arrested. Unfortunately, during this operation, a DSP and a police officer were injured.
The DIG revealed that the arrest led to the discovery of the victim’s mobile phone in the possession of the suspect, which later helped the police, in collaboration with intelligence agencies, to arrest Shiraz Bukhari.
Haider shared that this crucial arrest provided vital information regarding the murder of Mustafa Amir. He explained that on the night of Mustafa’s disappearance, he had visited his friend Arghman’s house, where a quarrel and shooting took place, after which the victim’s body was dumped in the Hub area.
Further investigation revealed bloodstains on the carpet at Arghman’s house. The body, along with the vehicle, was later set on fire in the Hub area.
DIG Muqaddas Haider added that both Arghman and Mustafa Amir were friends and worked in cryptocurrency. They reportedly had some kind of dispute during the New Year, though the exact cause remains unclear.
