Light Rain, Drizzle Expected in Karachi as Weather System Moves Across Country

The Pakistan Meteorological Department has forecast partly cloudy weather with chances of light rain and drizzle in Karachi on Friday, ruling out any heavy rainfall for the day.

According to officials, a western weather system is gradually moving toward the southeast and is expected to influence other parts of the country until April 4. While the system has brought intermittent rain to the city, its intensity is likely to remain low.

Late-night showers continued across several areas, with reports of hailstorm in isolated locations. Rain was recorded in multiple parts of the city, including Shah Faisal, Malir, Gulistan-e-Johar, Liaquatabad, New Karachi, Jahangir Road, Gurumandir, University Road, Northern Bypass, Garden, Surjani Town, and Orangi Town.

Power outages were reported in some areas following the rainfall. In a tragic incident, one person died of electrocution in Gulistan-e-Johar, raising the death toll from rain-related incidents to seven over the past two days.

Authorities have advised residents to remain cautious, particularly during wet conditions and in areas prone to electrical hazards.
