Positive Impact of Reforms: Balochistan Sees Improved Attendance in Schools and Hospitals, Public Confidence Restored

Quetta: Balochistan Chief Minister, Mir Sarfaraz Bugti, has reported significant progress in institutional reforms, governance, and service delivery, with public complaints about absenteeism of teachers and doctors now reduced to less than one percent.
Speaking on social media platform X, the Chief Minister highlighted that over the past nine months, 412 public grievance hearings (Khuli Kachheris) were held across the province’s 36 districts, during which 3,675 complaints were received, mostly related to absentee staff and closure of educational and health institutions. However, in March alone, out of 871 complaints, only four pertained to absenteeism, demonstrating the effectiveness of the reform measures.
Mir Sarfaraz Bugti stated that structured monitoring, timely hearings, and strict oversight have ensured staff attendance in schools and hospitals, resulting in marked improvement in service delivery. This has strengthened public trust in government initiatives and enabled authorities to address other service-related issues highlighted by citizens.
He also praised Chief Secretary Balochistan, Shakeel Qadir Khan, for his proactive role, as well as the consistent meetings of the Secretaries’ Committee and divisional and district administrative heads, which have contributed to the success of good governance initiatives.
The Chief Minister reaffirmed his commitment to further strengthen transparency and governance in Balochistan, ensuring that every school and hospital functions effectively to provide essential services to the public. He emphasized that improved attendance of doctors and teachers is a clear indicator of an accountable and responsive governance system.
