Balochistan High Court Warns Judicial Officers Against Seeking Transfers Through Influence

Quetta (April 1): The Registrar of the Balochistan High Court has issued a strict circular directing all judicial officers of the district judiciary not to seek transfers or preferred postings through direct or indirect recommendations.
The circular clearly states that contacting the Chief Justice, Justice Muhammad Kamran Khan ملاخیل, or other judges—either personally or through intermediaries—will be considered a serious violation of discipline.
According to the circular, the court has taken strong notice of reports that some judicial officers have been attempting to influence transfer and posting decisions through family members, friends, or other connections. Such practices, it said, are against official rules and judicial discipline and will be treated as misconduct.
The circular further emphasized that under the Balochistan District Judiciary Act, 2021, all judicial officers are bound to serve anywhere within the province or as required by law. Matters related to postings and transfers fall strictly under administrative authority.
It also made clear that no officer is allowed to seek any favor, posting, or transfer through personal influence or mediation. Any violation of these directives will result in disciplinary action under relevant laws.
However, the court clarified that judicial officers may approach the relevant High Court branch through proper channels for legitimate official matters.
The High Court has directed all officers to uphold the highest standards of integrity, transparency, and discipline in the discharge of their professional duties.
