Three Arrested in Rawat for Assaulting Woman in Passenger Van

In Rawat, police have arrested three suspects involved in the assault of a mother of two inside a passenger van. The arrested individuals include the van driver, conductor, and an accomplice.

According to the First Information Report (FIR), the victim alleged that she was lured into the vehicle under the pretext of going shopping and was then assaulted. The complaint also states that the victim’s mother-in-law and sister-in-law may have played a role in facilitating the incident, and both have been included in the investigation.

Syed Khalid Mahmood Hamdani, the City Police Officer (CPO), took immediate notice of the incident and ordered the swift arrest of those involved. Acting on these instructions, Rawat police registered a case and utilized both technical and human intelligence to apprehend the suspects.

The victim has undergone a medical examination as part of the legal process. Police have also taken the vehicle used in the crime into custody.

Anum Sher, SP Saddar, stated that the accused will be presented before the court with solid evidence to ensure they receive strict punishment under the law.
