Three Injured, Including Woman, in Rawalpindi Robbery Shooting

Rawalpindi:Three people, including a woman, were critically injured when armed motorcyclists opened fire during a robbery in the Morgah police station limits of Rawalpindi, police said.

The incident occurred in the Rah-e-Aman area, where suspects attempted to snatch valuables from the victims. According to police, the injured were identified as 55-year-old Mushtaq, his wife Sughra, and their neighbor Mehtab Umar. All three were immediately shifted to a hospital, where their condition is reported to be critical.

Initial reports suggest that the victims were returning home after visiting a relative when motorcycle-riding robbers intercepted them and tried to snatch jewelry and a purse. Upon resistance, the assailants opened indiscriminate fire.

Police said the suspects managed to snatch a gold bangle from the woman before fleeing the scene while firing.

Law enforcement officials reached the spot soon after the incident, cordoned off the area, and launched a search operation to trace and arrest the attackers.
