TikToker Sehar Hayat Reveals Reasons Behind Divorce for the First Time
Lahore: Pakistani digital content creator Sehar Hayat has broken her silence and publicly shared the reasons behind her divorce, issuing a detailed statement on social media.
Sehar Hayat, who married Sami Rasheed in a lavish ceremony in 2023, confirmed that their relationship began to deteriorate after the birth of their first child in 2024. The اختلافات eventually led to their divorce in September 2025.
In a statement posted on her official Instagram account, Sehar revealed that she sought khula (woman-initiated divorce), alleging that her husband’s behavior was abusive and disrespectful. She claimed that she was repeatedly threatened with divorce and subjected to verbal abuse, even in front of his family.
According to Sehar, “I chose khula because I was constantly threatened with divorce. I was humiliated and insulted regularly, leaving me with no other option.”
She also accused Sami Rasheed of neglecting financial responsibilities toward their daughter and attempting to gain social media attention by posting about her. Sehar alleged that he had not contributed financially to the child’s upbringing.
Furthermore, she claimed that Sami Rasheed is trying to defame her by bringing up her past publicly. She also stated that he has yet to return her car, adding that his priorities appear misplaced.
The statement comes after Sami Rasheed ранее accused Sehar of forcibly obtaining khula, to which she has now responded by presenting her side of the story.
