Social Media Demands Apology: What Advice Did Anchor Nadia Khan Give to Nida Yasir

Islamabad: TV anchor Nadia Khan has advised fellow host Nida Yasir to apologize to delivery riders over her recent controversial remarks that sparked widespread backlash on social media.

A few days ago, Nida Yasir made comments on her morning show claiming that some delivery riders deliberately avoid carrying change so they can keep extra money. She added that she always keeps exact cash prepared to avoid delays in receiving the next delivery.

Her statement drew strong criticism from delivery riders across the country, many of whom demanded a formal public apology for what they called an unfair and insensitive generalization.

Defending her colleague, Nadia Khan said, “I know Nida very well — she is kind and compassionate. Sometimes we say things unintentionally that may hurt others. I believe her statement was based on a misunderstanding; she truly understands the struggles people face.”

Nadia further explained that during live shows, hosts speak continuously, and at times certain comments may unintentionally offend others. She expressed confidence that Nida Yasir would apologize, adding that doing so would not diminish her in any way since she never speaks with the intention to hurt.

The controversy continues to trend on social media, where Nadia Khan’s balanced stance has been appreciated by both supporters and critics of Nida Yasir, who see it as a sensible and constructive response.
