Iranian Missile Intercepted Over Turkey; NATO Defense System Destroys Threat
Ankara (Daily Qudrat News) – Turkey’s Ministry of Defense has confirmed that a ballistic missile launched from Iran entered Turkish airspace but was successfully intercepted and destroyed by NATO air and missile defense systems deployed in the eastern Mediterranean.
Officials stated that this marks the fourth such incident since the start of the Iran conflict. Earlier this month, NATO systems had already intercepted three Iranian missiles mid-air, prompting Ankara to lodge a strong protest with Tehran and issue warnings.
Meanwhile, U.S. President Donald Trump issued a stern warning to Iran via his social media platform, stating that if an agreement to immediately reopen the Strait of Hormuz is not reached, the United States could target Iran’s power plants, water facilities, oil fields, and Kharg Island. He added that Washington is pursuing negotiations with what he described as a “more reasonable government,” but warned of decisive military action if talks fail.
Separately, in the Israeli coastal city of Haifa, a missile strike triggered a massive fire at the Bazan oil refinery. Dramatic footage circulating in Israeli media showed towering flames engulfing the facility. The refinery has previously been targeted during the ongoing conflict.
