Armed Attacks in Panjgur: 7 Militants Killed, 5 Civilians Dead, 2 Injured

Panjgur (Daily Qudrat Quetta): A series of armed attacks in various areas of Panjgur left five civilians dead and two others injured, while security forces killed seven militants in a decisive response.

The incidents involved heavy gunfire and explosions targeting civilian homes. In the Khudabad area, attackers assaulted the house of Arshad Baloch, resulting in the deaths of Imdad Ibrahim, Burhan Arshad, and Aziz Wazir. Three rooms of the house, along with the main gate and boundary walls, were set on fire.

In Garmkan, Shahid’s home came under attack, killing Amir and injuring Ghafar and Zafar Ahmed, while three vehicles outside the house were torched. Another attack in the same area targeted Kaleemullah’s residence, damaging the property and setting three vehicles ablaze.

Overall, five civilians lost their lives and two were injured. The repeated gunfire and explosions caused widespread fear among residents, leading to the closure of commercial centers and minimal traffic on city roads.

Security forces responded promptly, engaging the militants in counter-fire for several hours. Six of the attackers were killed during these operations, and their bodies were transferred to the Teaching Hospital. Authorities emphasized that the quick and coordinated response prevented further casualties and restored relative security in the affected areas.
