Pakistan Seeks Brotherly Ties with Afghanistan, Urges Focus on Public Welfare: Ziaullah Langau
Quetta: Mir Ziaullah Langau, Home Minister of Balochistan, stated that Pakistan has always maintained brotherly relations with Afghanistan and wishes to continue living as a good neighbor.
In his statement, Langau emphasized that Pakistan seeks peace, stability, and cooperation in the region. However, he urged Afghan authorities to prioritize the welfare and prosperity of their own people instead of serving the interests of external powers.
He criticized past Afghan governments for allegedly pushing the country into conflicts for foreign interests, which, he said, resulted in suffering for the Afghan people. He stressed that Afghanistan should now focus on development and move away from terrorism and external agendas.
Langau further claimed that over the past 25 years, Afghanistan at times prioritized the interests of countries like India over its own people, contributing to regional mistrust. He called for strengthening bilateral relations through mutual respect, trust, and cooperation.
