Major Increase in Financial Assistance for Balochistan Police Martyrs and Injured Personnel: “Martyrs Are Our Pride, Their Children Are Our Responsibility,” Says IG Muhammad Tahir

**Quetta (Daily Qudrat Quetta):** Inspector General of Police Balochistan, Muhammad Tahir, has announced a historic increase in the financial assistance package for martyrs and injured personnel of the Balochistan Police, significantly enhancing welfare measures for police families.

According to the announcement, monthly financial assistance for the families of police martyrs has been doubled from Rs 100,000 to Rs 200,000. The IG stated that police personnel who sustain serious injuries in the line of duty will now receive Rs 100,000, an increase from the previous Rs 10,000, while compensation for minor injuries has been raised from Rs 5,000 to Rs 25,000.

Financial support for the burial of martyrs has been increased from Rs 40,000 to Rs 75,000. In cases where the deceased’s body is transported outside the province, assistance has been raised from Rs 50,000 to Rs 100,000.

The IG also announced an increase in marriage grants for police employees from Rs 12,500 to Rs 50,000. Furthermore, marriage assistance for the daughters of martyrs and deceased police personnel has been enhanced from Rs 50,000 to Rs 200,000.

For widows of deceased police employees, monthly financial assistance has been revised as follows: Rs 12,000 for Grades 1 to 11, Rs 14,000 for Grades 12 to 15, Rs 16,000 for Grades 16 to 17, and Rs 20,000 for Grade 18.

Speaking on the occasion, IG Muhammad Tahir emphasized that martyrs, retired employees, and their children have a rightful claim on the police institution. “The sacrifices made by our martyrs are a guiding light for us. They are the pride of our nation and the ornament of our foreheads,” he said, reaffirming the department’s commitment to the welfare of police families.
