Pakistani Youth Hailed as Hero After Rescuing Two People During Floods in Oman
Muscat: A young man from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has been widely praised for his bravery after rescuing two individuals during severe flooding near Barka in Oman.
The 25-year-old, identified as Shehzad Khan, risked his life to save two India nationals who were trapped inside a vehicle amid strong flood currents. The incident occurred following heavy rains that caused streams and drainage channels to overflow, leading to multiple accidents in which at least 10 people reportedly lost their lives.
Eyewitnesses said that due to the شدت of the المياه flow, no one dared to approach the submerged vehicle. However, Shehzad Khan managed to reach the half-submerged car, broke its windows using stones, and safely pulled the occupants out.
A video of the rescue has gone viral on social media, with locals and online users praising the young man’s courage and timely action.
