Bomb Blast Targets Security Forces in Quetta’s Daghari Area; Gun Battle Erupts, Search Operation Underway

Quetta (Daily Qudrat News): A bomb blast targeted security forces in the suburban area of Daghari (Zarkho) in Quetta, triggering an intense exchange of gunfire between armed militants and personnel.

According to security sources, the incident occurred when foot patrol troops reached a site where a new security check post was under construction. Shortly after the explosion, militants already present in the area opened fire, leading to heavy gunfire that continued intermittently.

Reports of casualties have emerged following the blast, but officials have not yet confirmed the exact number of dead or injured.

In response, a heavy contingent of security forces cordoned off the entire المنطقة, sealing all entry and exit points. Civilian movement has been completely restricted as authorities launched a large-scale search operation amid reports of militant presence.

Officials stated that all available resources are being utilized to apprehend those responsible, and the operation will continue until the area is fully cleared.
