Chaman Phatak Suicide Attack: Case Registered in CTD, Banned Outfit Leader Named

Quetta (Special Correspondent) – A case has been registered at the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) police station in connection with the suicide attack at Chaman Phatak in Quetta.

According to CTD sources, the case related to the explosion near the railway track at Chaman Phatak has been registered on the complaint of a CTD official. A leader of a proscribed organization has been nominated in the case.

Police said the case has been registered under sections related to anti-terrorism, murder, attempted murder, and other relevant charges.

Sources further stated that the suicide attacker rammed an explosive-laden vehicle into a train carriage. In the incident that took place on Sunday, May 24, 14 people were killed and more than 30 others injured in the explosion.
